Just opened this, overall quite enjoyable.
First taste, after opening and giving an hour to rest, slightly astringent on the nose, tannins were very powerful, dark appearance with thick legs. Left it to calm down a bit, and grilled a couple of New York strips. Through dinner, much more fruit and depth developed. Slightly smoky, but balanced dark currant and berry. Long finish, and definitely candidate for a rich food pairing like a fatty steak or BBQ. Highly recommend aerating and decanting, I am not a wine expert, but IMO this could well do with a couple more years holding.
Why do these wines not have any information outside of brightcellars? Are these wines exclusive to brightcellars?
