Voyage Dans Le Vent Red Blend
This medium-bodied red (also known as our Vin Rouge) is a Bordeaux blend with notes of strawberry, cherry, black tea, and warm baking spices.
Bordeaux blends are primarily made using a combination of three types of grapes – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
When pairing this red blend, we recommend a decadent steak or another red meat dish. Straightforward salt and pepper seasoning will do the trick.
Born in Bergerac, France
This red blend (also known as our Vin Rouge) originates in Bergerac AOC, France. AOC stands for Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, a fancy French term that refers to the standards set for wines made in France. Overall, there are 363 AOCs in France, and they regulate everything from wine varieties to how the grapes are grown.
Located in captivating South West France, Bergerac is a wine region just south of the well known Bordeaux. If you love Bordeaux wine, you’ll love the same style of wine for the Bergerac price tag. With vineyards scattered along the Dordogne River (the same body of water that runs through Bordeaux), the Bergerac wine region is home to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and flagship Bordeaux varietals, as well as whites, rosés, and even dessert wines.
